Maimeo’s Pocket Shawl
Nothing delights me more than wrapping up warm and being cosy! I’m not about the summer months, even though I’m a July baby! I’m definitely up for getting under a blanket and snuggling down in the colder months to stay warm. With this warmth in mind I decided to create something to keep you cosy in the winter and keep that cool breeze off in the spring.
After a dear friend made a joke that shawls are only for grannies. I decided to name this shawl after my mothers Irish roots, Maimeo (pronounced Mam-o) is Irish for Grandma. She is definitely a fan of this pattern, and looks nothing like the old granny you’re all imagining right now!
The Maimeo Pocket Shawl.
In all its glory the Maimeo Pocket Shawl is a great beginner pattern for those looking to move on from the basic stitches, but are still looking for that repetition when hooking. This project will create texture, teach you a bit of simple sewing and how to add a border to your project.
There is currently only a written pattern for this project but have no fear a video tutorial is coming over the summer of 2021. If you have purchased this pattern but would like access to the video tutorial for reference later in the year then send me a message via Etsy and I will send you the link.
Keep up to date with me and to find out when the tutorial has made it’s appearance, why not follow me for all my latest and greatest on Instagram.
Why not tag me, @hevshomecrochet and use #hevshomecrochet so I can see all your work and follow along with your journey too.
Now for the boring bit…
