5 Perfect Makes for Mothers Day
Mothers day is fast approaching and although I’m a mother it’s still not something I associate with myself. I love giving my Mum a handmade gift and she loves receiving them, wins all round! With only 2 weeks to go I thought I’d put together a few beautiful crochet projects to help get the inspiration flowing, if you’re thinking of crocheting something this year.
Tea Cosy by Bella Coco
I’ve always admired this design by Sarah-Jayne but never had the time to make it! This year it’s on my list. If your Mum is anything like mine and loves a cuppa, this would be a perfect gift! And If they don’t own a tea pot why not include this as well, make a hamper of it! You can find all the info and where to get the pattern, here.
Cosy Cwtch Cushion
Call it cheating but I couldn’t resist including something I’ve already gifted to my Mum. The Cosy Cwtch cushion is a beautifully textured make, sure to stand out in any room! This pattern was my first ever pattern release and is still to date a firm favourite. Create this stunning cushion in colours that suit your Mum’s taste and let her relax in comfort, it is mothering Sunday after all. Find the pattern and all the details here.
Cotton Face Scrubbies
Another favourite crochet Sarah of mine is Sarah Maker. If your Mother loves to be pampered and you love a super quick make, why not make some cute eco-friendly face scrubbies? Sarah describes them as “washable, reusable, and the perfect thing to add to your eco-friendly skin care routine.” and I couldn’t agree more. Find the pattern and more details here.
Crochet Tulips on Canvas
If your Mum is anything like mine then she definitely loves flowers. This is a beautiful make that will keep that room bright all year round! It’s such a lovely idea too and if your Mum doesn’t like tulips why not switch up the flowers to suit her style. For this pattern, image tutorial and details click here.
Crochet Herringbone Half Mixed Stripes Throw
How about a super snuggly throw? Blankets are always a hit here but they also make a great decoration and can be a good conversation starter. Remember everything you create is unique and nobody stitches the same way as you do. A handmade gift can really mean the world! If you love the colours in this pattern as much as I do then head on over to Daisy Farm Crafts to find out more, here. You can also buy the kit for this pattern from Yarnspirations itself, here.
I hope this has given you a bit of inspiration and maybe introduced you to a few new wonderful designers.
Enjoy your cuppa,
Now for the boring bit…
